Australian Nursing and Training Services

To train assistant in nursing students one on one on the wards on real patients and not just in a classroom like other institutes. Jobs available at new agency, Help On Wheels.

Australian Nursing and Training Services was one of the first assistant in nursing courses in Australia. Sister Tracey Jones wrote the first proper practical curriculum in the 1980's when she noted that AINs were straight off the street with no formal training. This has grown in leaps and bounds and the community has benefitted from her tireless efforts, resulting in several TV appearances and awards including recently Winner and Finalist in Professional Services Awards. Some of these can be seen under testimonials on our website.

ANTS offer courses in Aged Care and Disability and have a 98% success rate in gaining employment for graduates. We believe this to be one of the highest success rates in Australia.

The reason ANTS are so successful is because they spend the time and money to train students one on one out on the wards on real patients, not just in a classroom like other institutes. This enables students to have a good idea what they are doing before they get to work experience placement which in turn impresses the management and staff and results in employment being offered.

Having an employment agency running alongside these courses is an added benefit to gaining employment. The agency is called Help On Wheels and employs nurses, domestics, handymen, companions, etc. ANTS gives everyone a fair go. Usually you need 12 months to 18 months experience in nursing on the wards to be able to work for an agency and many other companies. HOW DO YOU GET THAT EXPERIENCE if no-one will give you a chance to prove yourself? ANTS have a mentoring program and go out with you to jobs to instil confidence and competence in new employees. What a great idea!

Please keep us in mind if wanting to do an aged care or disability course, as we are No 1 in this field for 23 years.

It is the easiest way to be working in a matter of weeks that I know of and can assist further education and career paths. Nursing, R/N, E/N, A.I.N, carer, disability worker or coordinator, group home supervisor, management, medical sales rep, medical receptionist, recreational activities officer etc, are just some of the fields this course has bounced our graduates into.

If you read the info on our web site, you may know of someone it would suit, if not yourself.

The agency website is currently under maintenance, but check back in a few weeks to see info.
